GAMES ROOM & CINEMA
The client had purchased an established home within the Quinta Do Lago area that was in need of renovation and upgrading. The initial requirement was to add an entertainment area to a basement that had been used for the storage of golf carts. The huge basement was mainly unused with a total area of 270 square metres.
The client had been quoted for a basic home cinema with entry level speakers and low end cinema seating. After listening to the Steinway Lyngdorf S series speaker system at the FLME Almancil demonstration centre, he increased his budget to include this award winning solution.
What we deliveredFuture Living Made Easy designed a full entertainment area including gymnasium, sauna, golf driving area, entertainment area for pool, fusball, shuffleboard and table tennis. This plus an exclusive Steinway cinema room of 37 square metres with seating for eight.
The cinema included a 5:2 Steinway audio system with Steiway Lyngdorf SI-50 in wall Left right and centre speakers positioned behind the Screenresearch 2:35:1 Theatre Curve THX audio transparent screen. The surround sound provided by S-50 on wall speakers positioned on the back wall. The Steinway Lyngdorf LS-120 Boundary Woofers completed the incredible audio set up.
For image we selected the Cineversum Blackwing 2 high definition 4K ready projector and designed it into the room ceiling. Future Living Made Easy prescribed the Cine-Italia cinema seating including two independent swivel chairs all with electric recline and a bespoke 4 seater cinema sofa. The room was finished by FLME interior designers in a satin material clad insulating panels. The user controls were simplified by the implementation of Control4 and its unique touchscreen. FLME also designed the lighting control LED downlights and HVAC control.
After THX video calibration the cinema gave incredible performance.
The client was overwhelmed by the speed of the work and the quality finish, on arrival for Christmas the family were shown the cinema room and stayed and watched movies immediately.
